Model Sailboat Building Workshop *Ages 10 and older
Saturday, May 4 from 10:00am-12:00pm
All Hands Boatworks 621 S. 12th St., Milwaukee, 53204
Embark on a nautical adventure at our Model Sailboat Building Workshop! Participants will be surprised at how many tools they will use to construct and decorate their own model boats. Guided by experienced mentors, matches will learn essential woodworking techniques. Snacks are provided. This event is for Littles ages 10 and older.

Join BBBS for our pilot program in working with Milwaukee Art Therapy Collective! Matches are invited to an open house art night. Enjoy make and take activities for you and your Little. There will be a variety of themes each week and projects to partake in. Art therapy is a mental health profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Light snacks provided. This event is for Littles of all ages.

Create a Gift for Someone Special *All Ages

We invite Bigs and Littles to spend time together honoring mothers, fathers, and special adults in their lives. You will have a chance to put your personal touch on creating a gift for the special people in your life. We will have a variety of projects including cards, coupon books, and make-and-take projects to give as gifts. This is a great way to plan for Mother’s and Father’s Day. Dinner provided. This event is for all ages.

Horse Connections Part 2 *Ages 10 and older
Monday, May 13 from 5:30pm-7:30pm
MKE Urban Stables 143 E. Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee, 53207
Join us at MKE Urban Stables for an evening of equine assisted learning. We are inviting matches back for a part two. This program will include hands-on activities with therapy horses and Milwaukee Mounted Patrol officers. We will have the opportunity to take the skills you learned from the first time you attended and build off the skills you have learned, along with helping continue to build your relationship as a match. Our activities will encourage relationship building with your match and provide a special experience for everyone. This is for matches who have attended at least one of the horse programs we have offered in the past. Dinner provided. This event is for Littles ages 10 and older.

Match Anniversary Celebration Brunch & Bingo*All Ages

Join BBBS as we celebrate you and your Little! "Reflection, Recognition, and Recreation" are the focus of our match anniversary events. Celebrate your match anniversary with a delicious brunch. The morning will include brunch, games, and BINGO with awesome prizes for matches. We are inviting matches who have reached their anniversaries from January through May. This event is for all ages.

Golf 101 *Ages 10 and older

Join BBBS First Tee - Southeast Wisconsin, and players from the Marquette Men’s basketball team to learn how to play the lifetime sport of golf! This is a great way to build your relationship with each other and other matches. The morning will include learning the ins and outs of a club, a course, and how to play golf. We will have drills for all skill levels.  First Tee will integrate the game of golf with life skills and you’ll learn how to build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience, that you can carry on to everything you do. Bring your clubs or if you need to borrow, please indicate when you register. Refreshments provided. All skills and ages are welcome to join. All matches will receive a free round of golf at Noyes Park.

Annual Panfishing & Cookout *All Ages

Join BBBS and Muskies Inc for our annual fishing day! Fishing is a lifetime sport that anyone can do. Matches will cruise on pontoon boats while fishing experts teach you how to hook a worm and cast a rod. You will be sure to catch some fish! Please bring your rods and tackle box if you have them (equipment will also be available to borrow free of charge). Cookout, raffle, and prizes to follow. This event is for all ages. Please note: Adults and children ages 16 and older must have a fishing license to participate.

Juneteenth Parade and Celebration

Annual Juneteenth Celebration!
Did you know Milwaukee’s Juneteenth Parade is one of the largest and longest running Juneteenth celebrations in the country, drawing more than 50,000 people every year? Now in its 53rd year, the festival brings families together through food, music, art, and education. TMJ4 News will broadcast this year's parade for the 4th year. Parade participants include members of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, and Marquette Men's Basketball team. More than 300 vendors line King Drive selling local food and products. Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee and walk in the parade. We are inviting Bigs, Littles, and families to join our staff including our CEO & President Neil Willenson.

Get creative and create a sign to carry in the parade and you will also receive a BBBS Juneteenth shirt when you arrive to wear in the parade. Snacks and water provided. Can’t make the parade? Stop by our BBBS table and say hello anytime throughout the day of celebration.

Hoop It Up Summer Series *All Ages

Marquette Men’s Basketball players will be joining us for our Hoop It Up basketball series! We will have one Wednesday a month designed for all matches to get together and Hoop It Up. Practice your skills while meeting new matches and seeing familiar faces. Join us for a night of basketball, dribbling, shooting, defensive drills led by the Marquette players and finish with a Q&A to learn more about being a college athlete. Dinner provided. This event is for matches of all skill levels and all ages. All Littles will receive a basketball.
