Ongoing Series with Big Brothers Big Sisters and All Hands Boatworks are teaming up to offer an exciting and unique opportunity to build a boat and launch it in June! This hands-on experience is designed to equip Bigs and Littles, aged 10 and older, with practical skills that can last a lifetime, whether they’re interested in woodworking, tools, or exploring potential career paths in skilled trades. We are offering sessions on Tuesdays & Saturdays.

Lend a Paw at the Wisconsin Humane Society *All Ages Space Still Available!
Thursday, May 8^th from 5:30pm-7:00pm

Join BBBS and the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) and do good for some furry friends. Get a tour of Adoption Avenue, meet some adorable animals up close, and work with staff to create service projects to help the animals awaiting adoption! Each Little’s Parent/Caregiver will need to complete a waiver to attend. This will be our last program this spring! Join us at the MKE Urban Stables for an evening of equine assisted learning. This month matches will have the opportunity to meet an author who has written a book about her Friesian horse, Zeus. She is excited to share this story which is about a little girl who meets the challenges of having her first horse. This book is about patience, learning to trust, compassion and communication with a horse. Matches will be able to engage with a Milwaukee Mounted Patrol officer and his equine partner and the therapy horses who work at the Urban Stables. Dinner provided. This event is for Littles ages 10 and older. Note: There is a wavier form that both Bigs & Littles will need to complete.

BBBS Boat Launch with All Hands Boatworks

Join BBBS & All Hands Boatworks for the official launch of our BBBS boat. We invite all matches including those matches who have helped build our boat. The evening will include a ceremony to celebrate our success, learn about safety tips from the Beach Ambassadors, and explore the Milwaukee River on our boat and additional boats. Dinner provided. This event is for all ages.

Annual Panfishing & Cookout *All Ages

Join BBBS and Muskies Inc for our annual fishing day! Fishing is a lifetime sport that anyone can do. Matches will cruise on pontoon boats while fishing experts teach you how to hook a worm and cast a rod. You will be sure to catch some fish! Please bring your rods and tackle box if you have them (equipment will also be available to borrow free of charge). Cookout, raffle, and prizes to follow. This event is for all ages. Please note: Adults and children ages 16 and older must have a fishing license to participate.
