My Little Sister wants to see an R-rated movie. Should I take her?

My Little Brother keeps asking me to buy him things. What do I do?
It's important that your match is based on friendship, not money or material possessions. There is nothing wrong with the occasional treat or gift for a special occasion, but buying things for your Little should not be a regular occurrence.

Set financial boundaries and stick to them. You may want to help your Little think of ways to earn what he wants rather than relying on you to buy it for him. This is also a great opportunity to teach your Little about saving and budgeting.

My Little Sister wants to see an R-rated movie, and she says that her mother allows her to watch this type of movie all the time. Should I take her?
Exercise caution and consideration regarding the content of movies, video games and other forms of media you view with your Little. Consult your Little’s caregiver and BBBS to determine the age-appropriate content/ratings for your Little. BBBS requires that you follow movie and video game ratings.

If your Little is younger than age 17:

BBBS policy requires that you follow the movie rating system. Do not take your Little to an R-rated movie.

If your Little is 17 or older:

First consider if you are comfortable going to this movie. If not, say so.

Parental approval and consultation with your MSS is required. Confirm parent/guardian before buying the tickets.
