Events for Bigs and Littles

Match activities provide free and inexpensive things to do and the opportunity to meet other Bigs and Littles. These structured group events are part of REACH, which incorporates learning and development into a variety of activities that provide a well-rounded experience for our Littles. There are five categories of REACH activities:

March Activities

  Indoor Baseball Clinic with Biking for Baseball

Saturday, March 28 from 10:00am-12:30pm
Northside YMCA 1350 W North Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53205
Join BBBS & Biking for Baseball to learn and play a lifetime sport of baseball. The clinic is hands on and we ask that both the Bigs and Littles participate. We will also be sending off a local biker to support BBBS and Biking for Baseball over 11,000 miles throughout the US to share the importance of mentoring, biking & baseball all in one. This event is for Littles all ages.

 Match Anniversary Party
Tuesday, March 31 from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Evolution, 233 East Chicago St., Milwaukee, 53202
The Anniversary Party includes awards, games and food. Our party is designed to celebrate long-lasting mentoring relationships. We will have a chance to play ping pong and other games. BBBS holds a Match Anniversary Party every other month. Matches celebrating anniversaries in March and April will attend this party. This event is for all ages.

Our Relationship Building Initiative is designed specifically for newer matches who know they can get something more out of their relationship with their mentor/mentee. Matches will participate in a variety of games and activities designed to build personal confidence and strengthen relationships. This is a great opportunity to share the amazing journey your match has embarked on with others traveling the same road! Dinner will be provided. This event is for all ages.

Setting the Stage Pre-show Workshop and Preview Performance of LUCHADORA
Thursday, April 9 Pre-workshop 5:45pm-6:30pm; Preview Performance at 7:00pm

Join First Stage for a private pre-show workshop to develop a deeper understanding of the play’s themes. Stay and enjoy a special preview performance of LUCHADORA, a vibrant exploration of Mexican American tradition in the world of wrestling. Light snacks will be provided. This event is for Littles ages 7 and older.

Big Little Bowl Fundraiser

AMF West 7505 W. Oklahoma Ave. Milwaukee, 53219

Join BBBS in reaching our goal of 75 matches participating in our Big/Little Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser. Each match will get free shoe rental, two free bowling games, t-shirts, food and sodas when they raise $100 for Big Brothers Big Sisters. This event is for all ages. Once you register you will  receive more information about our Bowl for Kids' Sake fund raiser.

Go Green BBBS Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate Earth Day by joining BBBS matches to clean up Camp Pow Wow. There will be a variety projects to help get the camp ready for the season. Matches and Kohl’s volunteers will help paint benches, plant prairie sod, and clean up gardens and the grounds. This is a rain or shine event and we will have indoor activities if needed. Dinner will be provided. This event is for all ages.

BBBS Games & Fun

Neighborhood House, 2819 Richardson Pl., Milwaukee, 53208
Matches and Caregivers are invited to our 2nd BBBS Games and Fun event. This is a great opportunity for matches, caregivers and staff to spend time together socializing, playing board games, making arts and crafts. Prizes and raffles for everyone. Snack bar provided. This event is for Littles ages 6-12 and their Bigs and Parents.
