Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Site Monitor

Position Summary
Supervise Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) matches of adult volunteers and children (ages 6-14) during weekday and/or after-school mentoring programs at Milwaukee and Waukesha schools. Conduct surveys, facilitate weekly activities and provide on-site supervision to mentors and children. This is a seasonal, part-time position (late August–mid June).
Position Qualifications
Education: Minimum two years college required. Four-year bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree in education, social work, psychology, communication preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years working with diverse youth. Experience working with adult volunteers preferred.
Skills: Proficient in basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and keep accurate records. Good written and oral communicator. Able to engage youth and adults in one-on-one discussion.
Other: Must have a car and valid Wisconsin driver's license and meet state-required auto insurance minimums. Must have access to Internet and have a cell phone. Available for up to 15 hours of mandatory BBBS training in August at the agency’s administrative offices.
Compensation
$10/hour
