Start Something as a College Big Attend an on-campus info session! Attending an information session is required for all college students who want to do site-based mentoring in 2010-2011. Attend one session on your campus only. Not open to the public. Marquette University Info Sessions UWM Info Sessions Carroll University Info Session Why get involved? How does it work? Choose from two volunteer options: meet at a school site near campus (must be at least 18) or pick up your Little and do things on your own (must be at least 21). University transportation provided for Marquette and UWM students. Some sites are within walking distance of the Carroll, Marquette and UWM campuses. What's expected of a College Big? Big Brother Elliot Elliot started mentoring mentoring Little Brother Trevon as a freshman at Marquette University. Each week he walked the few blocks from campus to MacDowell Montessori School to spend about an hour with Trevon. Over four years, Elliot developed a friendship with Trevon that was more than just a college volunteer experience.
